Reconstitution

For consistent and reproducible results, reconstitute with 120µl of distilled water and 80µl PBS (or 50% glycerol in PBS) for the equivalent of undiluted antibody, immediately before use.

Storage Condition

For optimal results, use the antibody as soon as possible after reconstitution. Store in lyophilized form unless needed and reconstitute immediately before use. Once reconstituted, the antibody should be stable for a few days at -4°C. For storage up to a few months, prepare small aliquots after reconstitution and freeze at -20°C or -80°C. Repeated freeze thaw cycles should be strictly avoided.

Each vial contains 200µg of rabbit IgG lyophilized in 120µl PBS (137 mM NaCL, 2.7 mM KCL, 4.3 mM Na₂HPO₄, 1.4 mM KH₂PO₄, pH7.5).

Recommended Dilution Factor

This was purified from whole serum by Protein A affinity column. The HPLC purified peptide Obestatin (Mouse, Rat) IgG was detected by this IgG at 1:12800 (0.078ug/ml) on ELISA. We recommend that each laboratory determines an optimum titer for use in its particular assay system.

Cross Reactivity

This antibody is cross reactivity with obestatin (Human, Monkey) at 100%. It was tested in immunohistochemistry in rat stomach tissue and human placenta tissue.
